From the age of four, Lydia’s musical journey began with piano lessons, eventually leading her to become a distinguished mandolin player and vocalist. Her time at ETSU, where she pursued a minor in Bluegrass, Old-Time, and Roots music, provided her with invaluable mentorship from industry luminaries like Mike Compton, Tim Stafford, and Dan Boner. Under their guidance, Lydia honed her craft and discovered her unique voice within the bluegrass community.
Throughout her career, Lydia has shared the stage with bluegrass icons like Becky Buller and Rhonda Vincent, further solidifying her place within the genre. Her talents extend beyond instrumental prowess, as Lydia is also a burgeoning songwriter, infusing fresh perspectives into the traditional bluegrass sound.
