Hurt & Skip

Hurt & Skip is a group from Spartanburg, S.C., consisting of Joe Power (vocals), Shane Pruitt (guitar & slide guitar) and Jason “Slice” Phillips (percussion).

Named after Blues pioneers “Mississippi” John Hurt & Skip James, the band delivers a unique “Outlaw Tribal Blues” sound that blends traditional blues with tribal percussion that keeps you glued to the next note.

They have released 3 studio albums, one live disc and several EPs since forming in 2019. The single “I Need Your Love” from their debut album Leave Behind The Cold is featured in the 2022 film “Evil at The Door”.
