David Graham was born in St. Louis, MO. When he was very young, he began performing for family – or anyone that would listen – playing and singing Elvis and Glen Campbell songs with a plastic, toy guitar.
At 5 years old, his family moved to a small town in Portland, OR, where a family friend taught him how to play “Heartbreak Hotel” by Elvis. David caught on quickly, and not long after that, his parents bought him his first electric guitar. From that moment on, any hope of a conventional life or job went straight out the window. “I did not choose this life, or career, it chose me,” David says.
At 15, David’s dad snuck him into a rough, dive honky-tonk, where he played his first professional gig. He spent his early years playing rock, punk, and blues before being called to country music, after hearing “Ramblin Fever” by Merle Haggard. Since then, he has played thousands of shows across the country and in Europe.
David now lives in Nashville, TN, where he writes, records and performs.
