Clay Johnson & the Hard Promises, From Spartanburg, SC, were formed in the midst of 2020 as the backing band for solo musician, Clay Johnson. Tying together the classic traditions of southern folk music along with modern takes on Country/Americana; the band brings together sounds across multiple American genres with an earnest southern flavor. Featuring Clay Johnson (Vocals, Guitar, harmonica), Levi Mclean (percussion), Shawn Wilson (Bass, Vocals), Ashton Young (Lead guitar Vocals), and Jill Sprague (backing vocals) Clay Johnson & the Hard Promises are sure to deliver a wonderful performance.
