The Well Drinkers are a progressive, original bluegrass & Americana band based out of Western North Carolina and often playing festivals & venues across the United States, Canada & the UK.
A consistent force in the Western North Carolina bluegrass scene, the group has striven since its formation in 2019 to combine the traditional roots of Appalachian music with progressive instrumentation, songwriting and subject matter. And the band doesn’t shy away from bringing experimental jams, jazz, classical, Cajun, and reggae into their live performances.
The Well Drinkers have shared the stage with the likes of Molly Tuttle, Ketch Secore (Old Crow Medicine Show), Town Mountain, Songs from the Road Band, Chatham County Line, Balsam Range & many more.
The Well Drinkers are: Jake Bachman (lead vocals, mandolin), Adam Bachman (dobro, pedal steel, vocals), Norbert McGettigan (upright bass, vocals), Jeremy Rilko (banjo, vocals) & Andrew Wakefield (guitar, vocals).
