Cajun Honky-Tonk
Playing traditional Cajun music with some honky-tonk thrown in, Jackomo Cajun Country Band has been hosting local Cajun dances for a decade. Starting as an informal jam session in Weaverville, Jackomo has earned an impressive local following — and they’re a house favorite here at Jack, too!
Jackomo consists of Joy Moser on Cajun accordion and vocals, Trent Van Blaricom on fiddle and vocals, Tom Pittman on pedal steel, Carl Batchelder on bass, David Rose on guitar & Peter Chakalis on drums.
All Asheville-area natives, the band members share a love for Cajun music & culture and regularly travel to Louisiana festivals & music venues to immerse themselves in the Bayou State’s music scene.
Jackomo’s shows often bring out quite a few dancers eager to get their feet moving to the Cajun beat. The band has even been known to give the occasional dance instruction before their shows start!
Jackomo also plays classic honky-tonk songs made famous by the likes of Kitty Wells, Hank Williams & Patsy Cline. They’ll keep y’all dancing all night!
