    Street Stompers

    9pm - $5 Entry

9th STREET STOMPERS - The 9th Street Stompers are an outfit of well-dressed no-counts chopping on acoustic instruments and singing about life, death, love, and liquor. Hailing from Chattanooga, Tennessee, they cull up the musical scenery of an era when the lines between swing, gypsy jazz, blues, rockabilly, and tango weren’t nearly as hard and fast as the drinking and dancing. Steering clear of much of the novelty and kitsch associated with pre-war music, they choose to demonstrate the modern relevance of their chosen medium.

With Skip Frontz Jr. furiously slapping the string bass and Lon Eldridge on blues finger-style resonator guitar, ukulele, and kazoo, they share vocal duties. Dalton Chapman is a Gypsy Swing virtuoso who diligently studied the great Django Reinhardt and finally, the always enchanting Sampire swings the brush snare with the grace and finesse of a sultry metronome. If her drumming doesn't catch your attention, her eyes certainly will.

If you like high-energy showmanship and top-notch musical prowess, The 9th Street Stompers will see you front row!!!

Angela Perley & The Howlin' Moons

    9pm - $5 Entry
Armed with electric guitars, swooning vocals, and songs that split the difference between rock & roll and dreamy psychedelia, Angela Perley & the Howlin’ Moons pack the biggest punch of their career with Homemade Vision (2016). Like the band’s debut, Hey Kid (2014) — an album whose kickoff track, “Athens,” earned Perley an International Songwriting Award in 2014 — Homemade Vision was recorded in the Howlin’ Moons’ hometown of Columbus, Ohio. Many of the songs were dreamt up somewhere along the highways and backroads that crisscross America, though, coaxed into life by a group of roots-rock road warriors who regularly play more than 100 shows a year. As a result, Homemade Vision is the sort of wide-ranging record that creates its own geography, building an imaginary place where the influences of David Gilmour, Tom Petty, Led Zeppelin, and Lucinda Williams all intersect.
It’s also the work of a genuine band. Chris Connor’s guitar playing — a flurry of fuzz, crunch, twang and bang — occupies just as large a role as Perley’s voice, while Billy Zehnal’s bass — coupled with cymbal crashes and snare hits from an arsenal of heavy-hitting drummers — glues the mix together. Inspired by love, heartbreak, and everything in between, Homemade Vision is a battle cry from a band that’s spent years fighting the good fight, carving out their own brand of atmospheric, aggressive Americana along the way. BAND MEMBERS - Vocals, Guitar, Musical Saw / Angela Perley - Lead Guitar / Chris Connor - Bass / Billy Zehnal

    Fin Dog

    9pm - $5 Entry

FIN DOG - Fin Dog is an Asheville, NC based string band, performing original tunes and a variety of covers from multiple genres with bluegrass instrumentation. "They specialize in woozy waltzes, dark, standup-bass-fueled raveups, and ghoulish, thumping set-pieces that are more like haunting short stories than songs. There are also punk-rock style gang-vocals, references to Toys R' Us, and other general anachronisms that belie the "old-timey music" stereotype. " — Vincent Harris, The Charleston City Paper. Fin Dog features Ryan Stockham on banjo, Nick Fierstos on mandolin, Brett Tingley on bass, and Adam Rettig on guitar.
